I spent the morning assisting David Hawkins from Hayes Barton with taking care of the water responsibilities. I introduced him to our ice suppliers and he made contact with a new sourse. Then we covered all the stops where he needed to leave cool water.
While making the initial run of placing the water out at work sites, we stopped at the new market building that is being completed. Local venders will have splace to sell food or other locally made ites to the public. The photo to right is a partial view of this
new building. Last year we were putting the outside frame up as
ACC closed.
About 10 this morning I left him and joined the group doing the "Blessings Ministries". Today they were helping helping a local church paint a hall way. I helped clean up the split paint off the floor and then after lunch I mended a hole in the wall. No I didn't paint.
The photo to the left show Linda from FBC Raleigh painting at the top of the hall way. In all we had about 6 adults and several teenagers
a couple of local guys whose desire to help was greater than their abilities.
By mid afternoon there
a day and we began to clean up the mess.
Before dinner we went down to the Mississippi to show those on their first
trip to HWH the might river. A plesent wind was blowing and the mosquitoes
had yet to begin their night forage. Then we ordered pizza for dinner and some of the group have gone out for ice cream at a favorite place, the Burger
Shack.
That's the day more later.
